The kitchen... part 1

When we were looking at houses, the one main thing we would always look for was the kitchen. Steph and I both love to cook (and eat) so we were always drawn to places with awesome appliances, updated cabinets, and the works... So why this?


I mean, its nice - clean and sunny - but definitely not a chef's dream.


We salvaged what we could (fridge, cabinets for basement storage, appliances for resale, etc) and moved forward with the demo...


Oh yeah - wallpaper on the door...


And it became this...

Wallpaper.... OFF!!


And the walls came down...


We needed about 10 inches for our cabinets... so Steph's dad's response: "No problem - we'll just move the door! You want it wider too? Sure!!"
